I think the Nevada Co Fairgrounds are the most beautiful in all of California. It is always a fun event to go there. Weather it is the Draft Horse Classic ( which I go to EVRY year) or the Victorian fair, or a Western Antique show, I am sure to have good food, a shady place to rest my butt and a fun time! Plus the surrounding towns are friendly and full of great things to do!
Nevada County Fairgrounds should be on the top of everyones " Places I gotta Go" list!

We are looking forward to the fair this year, as we do every year. My favorite things are the beautiful fairgrounds and the musical acts. My husband's favorite thing is the food! My kids especially love seeing all the livestock. I'm sure this year's fair will be terrific!

We were disappointed there was no bingo last year :( Hope you bring it back this year!

I moved up to Grass Valley because I heard it was horse country. I bought a horse and ride the trails, just love to be here in our great outdoors. We are so fortunate to have the Draft Horse Classic right here in the heart of Gold Country. These magnificent beasts are the most wonderful animals of all. This is an event I never miss. The Fair grounds are the most beautiful grounds I have ever seen. To stroll the County Christmas/Fair/Draft Horse Classic and the annual Car show every year. My friends and family come up to these events as well. My favorite moment was last year at the Draft Horse Classic. I was asked by one of the owners to hold the reins of a huge Shire and I got on my tip toes and asked him to lower his head so I could stroke his mane. I look forward to this years events!!!

Love the Fairgrounds! Love the Fair! Hate the fact that you no longer have "name" entertainment (especially good country music) at the Arena on the first night... or anytime. Certainly, if you're not interested or don't have the funds to promote this yourselves any longer, there are reputable local Promoters that you could co-promote with!! How 'bout it??

Great venue and great events! I wouldn't miss the Draft Horse Classic!

One suggestion: Please publish the times when the horse barns will be open to public entry; a scheddule is much easier to work with than an unsspeciofied time before and after an event.

Thanks!

The nevada county fair represent my not only beauty, it represents friendships and my youth. I was born and raised in Grass Valley the fair was the highlight of summer if not the year. The fair was where you ran into the people you thought you lost. It was where you met someone special, and it is the place I rmember those that are gone that I held dear. Each attraction, food booth, animal barn has sapecial meaning to so very many people. Especially those of us thousands of mile away. I look forward to the fair and the chance to relive those memories at the most beautiful fairgound in california, if not the world.

I always look forward to the fair every year. My new thing this year is 4-H pygmy goats. I am a leader this year and I know we have had some changes in the goat barn. I sure hope we can decorate and have fun with the public this year. Hey!! Don't forget to come by the goat barn and see what we have in store.

The Nevada County Fair is one of the highlights of our summer every year. We look forward to attending AND entering various things.....everything thing from artwork, poetry, collections, baked goods, Ag. Mechanics for my oldest son while he was still in High School, and pigs when my older children were still in FFA and 4H. I encourage everyone to find a category to enter....there are so many to choose from! The food contests at the Special Events Tent, sponsored by Paulette's, are my favorite. I've taken second and third place in a number of categories, but I'm still determined to place first one of these days! :)

My mom lives in Grass Valley and many times when we come to see her (we live in Minden, NV) it is to go to the wonderful events at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. We have been to the Christmas Fair, The Fourth of July concerts and the Grower's Market. This morning we just made plans to go to the Draft Horse Classic! My family loves going to these events with Mom. The fairgrounds are lovely and blessedly shady. Thank you for the fun!

Nevada County Fairgrounds is the BEST! The tall pines (which offer the delightful shade), beautiful grounds and buildings - and the marigold walk all bring a smile to my face! Treat Street too! I love to invite friends and family up to visit during the fair. This year we have 9 people coming, all for their first time. I like to enter my exhibits as well. The competition is tough - Nevada County has some very talented people. We moved here 7 years ago and have not missed the fair or the Draft Horse Classic yet. Thanks for all the hard work in organizing these events.

The Draft Horse Classic has become a real event for us. Friends and members of our family come from all over the West and meet at the Classic! We love it!
